I built a site for my Substack subscribers.
Damnang Research now holds over a hundred essays and more than 400 reader questions. The archive keeps growing, which makes it harder to know where to start.
If you subscribed recently, the map is the fastest way in.
How to use it
Open the "Start here" tab and pick how you read: as an investor or as an engineer.
You get three essays to start with. Investors begin with "Why HBM Is So Hard to Make" and "The Bottleneck Map." Engineers get the HBM essay plus "CPO, Fully Dissected."
Then use the search box or the Threads and Essays filters to find topics: CPO, glass substrates, EUV lithography, HBM, power and thermals. Series have a "view all parts" link so you can read them in sequence.
Just click the “Free only” tab to browse all the free articles. Around 30% of my articles are currently free to read, and I plan to keep it that way.
The "Ask Damnang" tab holds reader questions. There are 413, with 225 answered. Search the archive there. Full answers live on Substack, and each question links back here.

What I want to build with my Substack
Free subscribers
Even if you only read the free articles and the free sections of paid posts, I want you to walk away having learned something technical.
Paid subscribers
The paid articles go deeper into what is actually happening across the industry. You can also ask me questions directly, and through me, tap into a community of more than 1,000 people currently working across the industry.
Founding subscribers (Not confirmed yet)
I am thinking about offering datasets, forecasts, and industry models that traditional research firms have charged tens of thousands of dollars for, but at a fraction of the price.
I want to push the advantages of independent research as far as I can 😎
Have suggestions for my research or ideas for a business collaboration?
Feel free to reach out anytime at research@damnang.com!
Thank you!
